The Common Ground Company’s unique blend of Bluegrass, Americana, and Folk have been dazzling the Twin Cities since the fall of 2015. Led by Steph Snow’s powerful vocals and piano, Jorgen Wadkins (guitar), Pete Whitemen (bass), Zach Tauer (banjo), and Jake Rohde (mandolin) blend their acoustic instruments to create a driving, dynamic soundscape. Their skilled songwriting and three part harmonies draw from classics like Doc Watson and Bill Monroe, to newgrass heroes like Sam Bush and The Infamous Stringdusters.
Derek Pritzl is a Wisconsin singer/songwriter born and raised in the fertile farm land of Valders, Wisconsin. He brings a style and narrative that is reminiscent of some of the great songwriters of yesterday and today, continuing a tradition of songwriting developed by artists such as John Prine, Guy Clark, John Fogerty and Bill Walkner. His songs evoke visions of the struggles of the working man, the road weary traveler and of love found and love lost. Regardless of the size of venue, his music and songs create an atmosphere of intimacy, reflection and fellowship that brings the audience into his world.
